The Lighthouse at Honfleur by Georges Seurat
$29.00
A tall pale stone lighthouse stands at the end of a stretch of sandy shore, with a long jetty running out to the left and a small sailing boat on the water beyond. At the right, a rowing boat rests on a wooden trestle in front of a large building with many windows and a smaller red-roofed shed. The whole surface is made of small separate dots of color, mostly cream, blue and green, and the signature sits faintly at the lower left.
Georges Seurat (1859–1891), the French painter, made this oil on canvas in 1886 and signed it 'Seurat' at the lower left. The painting is in the collection of the National Gallery of Art, Washington.
Lab-printed to order on luster photo paper, in a 4:5 format: 8×10, 16×20, 24×30 and 40×50 inches. A pale, quiet coastal view for a bedroom, a bathroom or a hallway.
