A field of yellow wheat runs across the lower part of the picture, with a tall, dark green cypress rising at the right and a rounded gray-green bush at the left. Behind them, low blue hills sit under a sky of swirling white clouds on blue and pale green. The paint is laid on thickly in curving strokes, and a few red poppies show in the foreground.
Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), a Dutch artist born in Zundert who died at Auvers-sur-Oise, painted this landscape in oil on canvas in 1889. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, holds it in its European Paintings department.
Lab-printed to order on luster photo paper, in a 4:5 format: 8×10, 16×20 and 24×30 inches. A bright, busy landscape for a living room, a hallway or a home office.
