Still Life with Flowers in a Glass Vase by Rachel Ruysch
$29.00
Print only, frame not included
A loose, abundant bouquet rises from a glass vase on a marble ledge against a dark background: a striped tulip at the top, pink and white roses, orange and red blooms, white blossoms and morning glories. An orange flower has fallen onto the ledge in front. Small blue flowers and fine sprigs spray out from the edges of the bouquet, and the warm stone of the ledge catches the light.
Rachel Ruysch painted this still life in oil on canvas; the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, records her signature 'Rachel Ruysch f.' and dates it to about 1690–1720. The canvas measures 65 by 53.5 cm.
Lab-printed to order on luster photo paper, in a 4:5 format: 8×10, 16×20, 24×30 and 40×50 inches. A classic flower piece for a dining room, a bedroom or an entryway.
