A single slender stem rises from the bottom of the page and opens into a cluster of star-shaped flowers in deep pink, each with a pale center. To the left, a separate stem of long, narrow leaves stands upright, its tips curling slightly. Both are drawn with precise outlines and delicate color on warm cream paper, framed by a thin ruled line, and the large empty space around them makes the plant feel light and upright.

The title gives the botanical names of the plant, in the style of a scientific illustration.
