Visit Holland: Amsterdam Railway Travel Poster
$39.00
Print only, frame not included
A young woman and a little girl in white bonnets and traditional Dutch dress sit on a wooden fence, the girl pointing out across the meadow. Behind them stand windmills and children walking in the grass, a panel above shows sailboats on a river by a village, and a railway map of the routes into Holland fills the lower left corner. The German headline reads Besucht Holland, Visit Holland, above the words Holländische Eisenbahn Amsterdam.
This travel poster for the Holländische Eisenbahn, the Dutch railway, in Amsterdam was designed by an anonymous artist and printed as a color lithograph. The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, dates it to about 1913; the sheet measures 100 by 66 cm. The sheet is shown whole, with plain paper added at the edges to reach the format.
Lab-printed to order on luster photo paper, in a tall 2:3 format: 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30, 24×36 and 40×60 inches. A cheerful vintage poster for a kitchen, a hallway or an entryway.
